Happy Holidays the TADA! way

December 19, 2022
Dear Friends and Family,
Happy Holidays! I know it’s been awhile since you’ve heard from me. I hope you’re glad Notes From Nina is back.
TADA!’s programming is back in full swing! I love hearing the singing, laughing and joy fill our space again. The fall onsite classes went really well as did the many in-school residencies and afterschool programs. 25 new members were accepted into the FREE RYET (Resident Youth Ensemble of TADA!) program bringing our total to 60 members this year! Rehearsals began earlier this month for Princess Phooey which will run live in the theater in February. For those who can’t make it to the theater it will also be streamed in March.

Friday at our RYET holiday HOT (Hang Out Time) members ate pizza, played dreidel and made gingerbread houses together. Fun was had by new and returning members and new friendships have begun! I love that TADA! provides RYET members these times to come together outside of rehearsals and performances. To me, these times mean just as much as the productions we do. It’s a balance. The main reason I started TADA! was to help make growing up easier for kids who need to perform. I know we’re doing that.
Please take a few minutes to watch and listen to Sonya Davie, an Alum parent.
I hope you’re in a position to help TADA!. COVID hit us hard but TADA! was fortunate to receive federal support through the Paycheck Protection Loan Program and the Shuttered Venue Operators Grant. That funding is no more, but we can’t say the same about COVID. Plus it just costs more to live and work in this city now. Did you notice that TADA! didn’t ask for donations at the end of our fiscal year in August since we had that government support? We only ask you when we really need you. So, we’re asking now. Plus your gift will do more since we have an anonymous donor who will match up to $50,000 in new and increased gifts. Please click on the donate button below and help TADA! change lives.
Thank you and I hope you have a wonderful holiday season and a very Happy New Year. I’ll write again in January and fill you in on more things going on at TADA!.
Best,

Janine Nina Trevens
Executive & Producing Artistic Director
